02

Prepare with your teacher

Your teacher will help choose suitable music and arrange a solo or ensemble performance that fits your learning and experience.

03

Receive your session

We will confirm your session by Thursday 15 October. We will do our best to place siblings together and accommodate genuine time restrictions.

A few helpful details

Before you
register.

Does my child need a piece ready now?

No. Register their intention to take part. Their teacher will help choose and prepare suitable music and arrange an appropriate solo or ensemble performance.

Can we choose a session?

The school will allocate sessions to balance the programme and coordinate ensembles. Please note any genuine time restriction on the form. We will do our best to accommodate it and to place siblings in the same session, but a request does not reserve a particular session.

When will we hear which session we are in?

We will email your allocated session by Thursday 15 October 2026. Please keep both session times available until then. Performer arrival instructions will be provided separately.

Does the $40 include family tickets?

The $40 is the student's participation fee. Their own performance session does not require an additional audience ticket for them. Family and friends buy audience tickets separately: $10 each, or $30 for two adults and two children under 18, for one session.

Can we attend both sessions?

Yes, subject to seat availability. Audience tickets are valid for one session, so a separate ticket is needed for the other session when attending as an audience member.

How do we change our registration details?

Email admin@bhbsmusic.co.nz with the student's full name and the details to update. Please contact us rather than submitting a duplicate registration.

We look forward to hearing you.

Student registration closes Monday 12 October.
