Joyce Yang

Subject: Violin

Joyce earned her Bachelor of Music degree with a major in Violin and Piano Performance from Nanjing University of the Arts in China. Prior to her relocation to New Zealand, she served as a first violinist in the Philharmonic Orchestra of Jiangsu Province. Simultaneously, Joyce held a tenured position as a music teacher at Nanjing Echo-Forte International School, where she contributed as a music classroom teacher in the primary school department and offered violin lessons in the secondary school departments.

In 2012, Joyce transitioned to New Zealand, where she has since taken on the role of a dedicated mother to two children. Joining the instructional team at Blockhouse Bay School of Music in 2022, Joyce brings her passion for chamber music to her teaching. Her commitment extends to nurturing students at all proficiency levels, ranging from beginners to those pursuing advanced performance diplomas.
