Koeun Jung

Koeun Jung is an experienced piano teacher, accompanist, and church musician. She began learning piano at the age of 10 in Korea and has been based in New Zealand since 1997, where she continued her studies with Sharleen Penman. Koeun holds Trinity College London Grade 8 Piano (with Distinction) and a Performer’s Certificate (Piano).
Alongside teaching, Koeun has many years of accompaniment experience in church and missionary settings, and she currently serves as an organist and pianist at Greyfriars Church. She has also taught in music schools in Korea and has completed the Edu Primo – Piano Adventures teacher training.
Koeun completed a Diploma in Music at the University of Auckland under Sarah Watkins, and she is currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the University of Waikato. She is also preparing for advanced qualifications, including FRSM and ABRSM Pipe Organ Diplomas (Performance and Teaching).
Koeun’s lessons are supportive and structured, helping students build strong foundations, musical confidence, and steady progress.
